Diana Zipeto

Diana Zipeto is a Massachusetts-based painter whose work explores themes of identity, memory, and the fragility of the human experience. She earned her BFA in Illustration from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and has exhibited her work nationally, including at Ceres Gallery in New York and Jonathan Ferrara Gallery in New Orleans.

Zipeto’s practice bridges painting, photography, and sculpture, often transforming two-dimensional images into layered, deconstructed forms. Her Liberty series reimagines symbols of freedom, questioning evolving notions of equality. More recently, her Resonance project explores Alzheimer’s disease through large-scale paintings based on her father’s MRI scans. By suspending and deconstructing these paintings, she highlights the physical and emotional toll of illness, creating immersive, reflective spaces for viewers.

An active member of Western Avenue Studios in Lowell, Zipeto continues to push the boundaries of painting, using materiality and form to explore personal and collective histories.
